MONACO, Sunday, 24 February: Double World Champion Alex Carella joined a gathering of worthy Champions from around the World to be honoured at the UIM 4th annual Awards Giving Gala in Monaco.
Team Qatar's Italian race ace became only the third driver in the history of the F1H2O World Championship to win back-to-back World titles, 2011 and 2012, and joins two of the sport's greats, Renato Molinari who achieved the feat in 1983 and 1984 and ten-time winner Guido Cappellini who won four in a row from 1993 to 1996, completing a hat-trick of wins from 2001 to 2003.
