Started racing full season in 2001, with great help from Pål Virik Nilsen. Advanced further to offshore in 2004 with own built boats in class V50 until 2006 when stepped up to offshore class 3B. In between the offshore races Tobias also have did some races in different classes. Norwegian champion in offshore class 3 2010, with the rookie of the year, Mirell Victoria as a co-pilot.
