For many years he raced with karts in national and international challenges, then he went to the powerboats and raced a Formula 1000 season, with excellent results. In 2009, Davide took part the Rainbow Team, in the Italian and the World UIM F2 Championship obtaining excellent results leading to the decision to anticipate the jump to F1. Fabrizio Bocca, Rainbow Team coach, said: «We are very happy to return to F1. Honestly we have never decided to leave it. We took a pause to "understand" after 24 years of uninterrupted militancy. Rainbow Team was the protagonist of F1 for many years and we feel part of this big family and its huge history with enthusiasm and motivation, just come home!». The Rainbow has made the history of powerboat sport: thirty-three years of competitions at high levels with two World titles in F1 ( Fabrizio Bocca 1992, Scott Gillman 1997), one World title and another Italian title in F3 (Fabrizio Bocca).
