Pal made his Class 1debut at the Trondheim Grand Prix in Norway in 2005 with Giorgioffshore. In 2007 he switched roles from driver to throttleman to form the youngest partnership in Class 1 alongside Tom Barry-Cotter for Maritimo Australia, going on to win a hat-trick of titles in the Australian Offshore Superboat Championship (2008/9/10).

He made his powerboat debut in 1992 in T-400 circuit racing and competed in a V-25, S-550, Formula 3 and 4, Formula 2000 and Class 3 1.3 and 2litre. He has won six UIM World and European Championship medals in different offshore and circuit classes, including the World Class S850 title in 1998. He finished on the podium three times in Class 1 in 2009, once in 2011 and last year competed in the F2 World Championship, winning in Italy.
