CARELLA SECURES THIRD WORLD TITLE
F1H2O

Sharjah - 13th December - We had hoped for a real nail-biter with four candidates in with a chance of gold and although reigning world champion Alex Carella of Team Qatar didn't disappoint, the depleted field was very spread out at the chequered flag.

CTIC China's Philippe Chiappe put up a brave challenge and managed to relegate Qatar's Shaun Torrente to third place but he was 2 seconds behind Carella at the finish.

Remarkably the top three were the only ones completing the full 38 laps as Abu Dhabi's Ahmed Al Hameli was on 37 and 5th place Thani Al Qamzi was a lap behind.

Of the 18 starters only 9 officially finished the Sharjah GP. Selio dropped out on lap 21 .
