LAUSANNE, Switzerland – 28th of February, 2006 – Just in time to heat up the start of the 2006 UIM F1 World Championship season, all the drama of the past 2005 racing campaign will be offered to over 60 million homes in North America in the United States and Canada across eight time zones beginning on Monday, March 6th at 16:00 Eastern Standard Time on SPEED CHANNEL.
“We once again are happy to be associated with the number one television outlet for speed events in North America as we begin our 9th year with SPEED television,” stated UIM F1 promoter Nicolo di San Germano. “We realize that North America is an important market for us. It is one of our biggest shares for television audiences with one-third of the world’s time zones getting an opportunity to see how exciting our sport is. I salute our association with TWI for their help making this once again possible with their great work in distributing our sport around the world.”
The 30 minute “magazine” shows which highlights each of the six race events in 2005 will be seen from Hawaii to Alaska all the way east to Newfoundland in Canada. This year something new will be added with two “match” races that took place in Singapore and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates also airing as well.
