ERIK STARK BACK TO CHALLENGE FOR TITLE WITH MAVERICK F1
F1H2O

Tuesday, 23 April: Sweden’s Erik Stark returns to the UIM F1H2O World Championship line up at the Grand Prix of Portugal in Portimao on 17-19 May after reaching an agreement to race with Maverick F1 for the rest of the season.

For the second year in a row it is the French outfit that has thrown the Swede a lifeline and given him a way back into the championship, one which he repaid in 2018 by giving Maverick F1 its first Grand Prix victory in London.

World number two Stark narrowly missed out on the title last season by four points to his Abu Dhabi teammate Shaun Torrente will test next week in Täby near Stockholm and will race his DAC hull with engines prepped by fellow-swede and Team Amaravati rival, Jonas Andersson.

Maverick F1 team owner-driver Cedric Deguisne also confirmed that Beranger Robart will run the team’s third boat in Portugal and in France.
