TORRENTE LOOKING FOR SECOND POLE IN PORTIMAO
F1H2O

Saturday, 19 May, Portimao (Portugal): Shaun Torrente topped the time sheets in this afternoon’s practice with a 43.29s lap and heads into this afternoon’s BRM Official Qualifying going for his second pole position in Portimao.

The Abu Dhabi driver snatched the top spot by 0.16s from CTIC F1 Shenzhen’s Philippe Chiappe on his final circuit as the clock went to zero and the chequered flag came out, with Victory’s Alex Carella third quickest 0.45s off top spot – Thani Al Qemzi, Peter Morin and Grant Trask rounding out the top six.

It was a frustrating session for a handful of drivers, Barterk Marszalek, Sami Selio, Erik Stark and Jonas Andersson all towed off the circuit with engine problems.
